NIS2 Quality Mark is now called the NIS2 Supply Chain certificate. The name change puts more emphasis on the importance of resilience and digital security in the supply chain. Companies that need to comply with NIS2 are also responsible for ensuring the security of their direct suppliers. With the NIS2 Supply Chain certificate, SMEs in the chain can demonstrate that they take NIS2 seriously.
The name change was decided by the board of the Quality Innovation Foundation. This non-profit organization owns the certificate and strives to improve cybersecurity of companies and organizations in Europe. NIS2 Supply Chain is a widely supported and accessible standard for this purpose. Due to the different levels (basic, substantial and high) it is achievable for organizations of different sizes, including SMEs.
