The European Supervisory Authorities have published their first report on reported ICT incidents. A total of almost 4,000 incidents were reported, primarily by banks (Credit and Payment institutions). Nearly one-third of the incidents had an impact in multiple countries. In 29% of cases, a third party was the cause of the incident.
Last year, the Dutch Centra Bank (DNB) carried out a resilience program focusing on the most important geopolitical risks, including physical warfare. DNB also expects financial institutions to take the same scenario's into account.
The Dutch implementation law for NIS2 (Cyberbeveiligingswet) is not ready yet, and the first changes to NIS2 have already been proposed. What are the changes in the European Commission's proposal?
